Hot off the heels of their last record getting sideswiped by covid lockdowns 3 days before release date, Charlotte NC’s rock n roll band THE FILL INS aren’t taking it sitting down, and have returned with a batch of new songs released on Hobo Wolfman Records!
Recorded & produced at RCRD by Dan Dixon in Atlanta GA, “Wild Ride” was an easy choice to kick off this set of songs as it reflects on the craziness of the last year and a reminder that things will always get better. The band is no stranger to the word “perseverance“, and we feel that 2020 gave everyone a huge lesson in that fact. Wild Ride takes a break from the craziness in the world to reflect on the past and having faith in yourself that we’ll all make it through this wild time we live in.

Everyone has a dream and everyone should have a passion for that dream. Of course a passion for music is the kind we are most in tune to at Metal Meat. Especially hard rock and metal.
So many music artists have to go through many transitions to get where they want to be. If not through personal changes and direction but through personnel changes.
Many bands go through personnel changes. Even the biggest bands in the world experience it. Look at bands like AC/DC, Megadeth. It happens. As long as the vision and determination are in tact, all that can be overcome.
Here we talk to a guy who knows very well about the challenges of personnel changes as well as anyone and the passion to make things happen.
Meat Alex Stiff, Frontman and Founder of a band based in Charlotte, North Carolina called “The Fill Ins”.
On 11/6/16, Alex Stiff sat down with the good folks over at Radio Meltdown to discuss all things related to The Fill Ins!
Earlier in 2015, The Fill Ins were approached by 'Fireworks Magazine' in the UK to do an album review of '5th Time's The Charm' along with an interview for an upcoming August 2015 issue . By December 2015, they had not delivered what was promised to us (not just the review and interview) so we pulled the plug on the operation. There were some great interview questions mixed in, so we now present the Unedited Fireworks Magazine Interview!
